Judith goes barefoot

05 Jun

Bernard Gironde, “Judith,” 19th century 3rd quarter, Oil on canvas, Musee Ingres, Montauban, France

Wish I had a better reproduction of this artwork.   From what I can see, it is an attractive and intriguing portrait of Judith.

  • She is barefoot:   Shoes?   Who needs shoes?   I can kick ass without shoes.
  • She is appropriately attired:   Covered my boobs, check.   Apron to avoid stains on skirt, check.
  • She projects attitude, hand on hip:   Yes, I’m serious.   Wrap it up and we’re taking it home.
