An homage to Joan Crawford.
Luciano Bonomi merges business and pleasure in his art. Managing Director of Acciaierie Valbruna (aka Valbruna Stainless Steele), he has turned the utility of metal into an element of beauty.
Nor are the technical words out of place, the nouns and verbs applied to the business of production: forging, rolling, drawing, grinding and testing; and to the product: ingot, billet, rod in coil, round, hexagon, square, flat, angle, channel, reinforcement bars and wire. These words, found on Valbruna UK Ltd’s website, chime with the making and realisation of Bonomi’s fairy-tale, three-dimensional images. (1)
I had not thought of Judith as a fairy tale, but with a jaunty flower over her Triangle of Love she does seem rather whimsical. In a Joan Crawford sort of manner.
